The Competition

Battle at the Beach" is a one day fitness competition at Bilmar Beach Resort at Treasure Island.  Unlike typical fitness competitions this event is held outdoors, be prepared to get wet and sandy to test your all around fitness level.  This will be an exciting competition and a great reason for a weekend getaway on the beautiful beach. We expect enjoyable weather without rain or blazing heat. Bilmar Beach Resort is offering amazing LOW RATES for all athletes and spectators! Cash & surprise prizes for all division winners

Divisions & Movements

Please note that these are working weights and 
subject to change this is a baseline

RX: Comfortable performing any variation of dumbbell or kettlebell exercise in the range of 70/50lb dumbbell, proficient at short distance/ocean swims, moving sandbags/dballs 150/100lb and Handstand Walk

Intermediate/Masters 35+: Comfortable performing any variation of dumbbell or kettlebell exercise in the range of 50/35lb dumbbell, proficient at short distance/ocean swims, moving sandbags/dballs 100/70lb

Beginners/Teens 14-17: Comfortable performing any variation of dumbbell or kettlebell exercise in the range of 35/25lb dumbbell, moving sandbags/dballs 70/50lb

Teens 11-13: Comfortable performing any variation of dumbbell or kettlebell exercise in the range of 25/15lb dumbbell, moving sandbags/dballs 30/20lb

Kids 8-10: Comfortable performing any variation of dumbbell or kettlebell exercise in the range of 15/10lbs dumbbell, moving sandbags/dballs 20/10lb

*The general guidance for RX workouts will be consistent with workouts on CrossFit.com.  Athletes who can and do perform workouts published on CrossFit.com as prescribed should be signing up for the RX division.  If you are unsure if that is possible, consider the intermediate or scaled division.

*Exercise selection for the event is not only limited to the movements or pieces of equipment listed above.

*Different movement variations for DB/KB can include but are not limited to Deadlifts, Swings, Carries, Thrusters, Squats, Snatch, Clean, Shoulder To Overhead, etc.
